Infinit - Modern Storage Platform for Container Environments
Explore the Infinit Storage Platform, a modern solution for container environments, in this Docker SF Meetup talk by Julien Quintard. Discover how Infinit provides scalable and resilient backend storage for Docker applications through block, file, and object interfaces. Learn about the platform's design principles and see a demonstration of deploying a storage infrastructure using Docker containers. Gain insights into stateful applications, key-value stores, file systems, object storage, and block devices. Understand what sets Infinit apart, including its distribution, consensus mechanisms, and management features. Dive into topics such as Paxos, monitoring, handling slow servers, and the five systems that make up the platform. By the end of this talk, grasp the benefits of Infinit and how to get started with this innovative storage solution for Docker environments.
