Vertex Operator Algebras

Vertex Operator Algebras

Explore the fascinating world of vertex operator algebras in this comprehensive 5-hour lecture series. Gain a gentle introduction to vertex algebras, understand their significance, and delve into the vector spaces that form their foundation. Learn about the normally ordered product and examine commutative vertex algebras. Investigate non-negative products and discover the origins of vertex algebras. Study the Heisenberg Algebra, perform example calculations, and explore permutation orbifolds of vertex operator algebras. This in-depth series provides a solid foundation for understanding these complex mathematical structures and their applications.
