Observability is More than Logs, Metrics and Traces
Explore the concept of observability beyond the traditional trifecta of logs, metrics, and traces in this 47-minute conference talk from Devoxx Poland 2021. Discover why observability is a property of a system rather than just a set of tools, and learn how to move from isolated black boxes to a more holistic view of your infrastructure. Gain insights into adding real value to your observability practices, such as transforming logs into richer, business-aligned events. Understand the limitations of relying solely on fancy tools and explore practical approaches to enhance your system's observability. Presented by Philipp Krenn, a developer advocate at Elastic, this talk offers a fresh perspective on implementing effective observability strategies in modern DevOps environments.
