Seamless Multi-Cloud Kubernetes - A Practical Guide
Explore a practical approach to running multiple Kubernetes clusters across regions and clouds in this informative conference talk. Learn how modern Kubernetes tools like kOps and ClusterAPI enable homogeneous cluster creation and management across diverse cloud platforms. Discover how to embrace GitOps principles for effective management of multiple control planes, eliminating the need for complex federation solutions. Examine solutions for both north-south and east-west network traffic, and understand scenarios where this approach may not be optimal, such as highly stateful workloads. Gain insights into the benefits of this approach, including cost-optimization, disaster recovery, and blue/green cluster upgrades. Delve into the deep implications for the evolution of Kubernetes itself and learn how to think about future Kubernetes cluster management.
