How to create and manage GUI on STM32 using its internal hardware (LTDC, DMA2D) and graphical stacks.
This course, after a general presentation on graphic terminology, describes the ST solution to create rich graphical content on STM32 devices. The ST graphical solution covers the hardware part, with additional dedicated IPs, the software part with drivers and graphical stack from partners, and more generally the ecosystem that also include dedicated development tools integration, documentation and ready-to- use examples.
After this presentation one should be able to select the best solution in terms of MCU (memory, HW accelerator) and display (definition, timings, interfaces) for a given scenario.
Prerequisites -
Laptop PC running Windows® 7 or higher with administrator rights
Type A to Type Mini-B cable
Download and install CubeMX 4.25 (or higher) along with F4 Cube Firmware 1.21 (of higher)
Download and install on your PC the ST Link Utility
Download and install on your PC System Workbench for STM32 (v.2.1 or above)
Download lab archive - You need to have a 32F469IDISCOVERY board (please refer to your local ST distributor for an offer)
Target students -
